Dantherm Military Tent Heaters

The VA-M15 MKII indirect-fired tent heater — chosen as the NATO standard — keeps tents, shelters and command posts warm in winters down to −40 °C. Developed with the armed forces of NATO countries, it runs on the diesel a camp already has and stays outside the tent: only clean, heated air is ducted in. Quoted and delivered across Europe by Foxberg.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Procurement questions

Does the heater blow combustion fumes into the tent?

No. The VA-M15 MKII is indirect-fired on the clean-air principle: the burner exhaust and the heated air are fully separated. The unit stands outside the tent and only clean, heated air is ducted in.

What fuel does it use?

Almost all diesel fuels, at a maximum of 2 kg/h. The fuel hose assembly connects to external jerry cans or drums — the same Scepter fuel cans we supply work as the feed.

What power does it need?

230 V single-phase, at most 1,000 W — a small field generator is enough. The high heat output comes from the diesel burner, not the mains.

Are NSN codes and datasheets available?

The Humanitarian & Defence catalogue is downloadable above. The VA-M15 MKII carries a registered NSN — we send codes and per-unit documents with the quote.

How should we specify a requirement in a tender?

Model and quantity per line, plus ducting and accessories if you need them quoted. If your specification is written around NSN codes, send those and we will match them.
