WHY THE PLASTIC WATER CAN
Plastic vs steel →
Food-grade throughoutHDPE body, LLDPE cap, FDA-approved materials to 21 CFR — no taste, odour or leaching into stored water.
Nothing to rustEvery component is plastic, so no corrosion reaches the water and no cap seizes after long storage.
Floats when fullBuilt-in headspace keeps a full can on the surface if it goes into the water during a crossing or loading.
−32 °C to +60 °CThe material’s rated operating range — the same can travels from Arctic to desert deployment.

Every component is plastic and food-grade — HDPE body, LLDPE cap, both to FDA-approved 21 CFR materials. Cap colour matches the can; a locking tab holds the screw-cap closed in transport and a moulded tether keeps it with the can. The large mouth fills fast, the small pour spout meters, and a built-in vent keeps the flow smooth.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Procurement questions

Can the same can be used for fuel?

No. The MWC and the MFC are separate products with different caps and seals. Water cans are built from food-grade material for drinking water; fuel cans use a Viton seal and are built to MIL-C-53109. They share dimensions and colours, so they stack and mount together, but they are not interchangeable.

Do the cans stack and fit standard vehicle brackets?

Yes. The MWC shares the footprint of the Scepter fuel can — 34.7 × 17.2 cm — so the two lines stack together and sit in the same NATO-pattern brackets. The 10 L is 30 cm tall, the 20 L is 47.7 cm.

What does an empty can weigh?

About 1.6 kg for the 10 L and 1.97 kg for the 20 L.

Is the water safe after long storage?

The materials are FDA-approved for food contact and add no taste, odour or chemicals. Nothing inside can rust, so the container itself does not degrade the water. How long water stays potable depends on your own handling and treatment procedure, not on the can.

Can you supply NSN codes and datasheets?

Yes, on request for the relevant part numbers. Send the P/Ns with your enquiry and we include the documentation with the quote.
